Pam Wolliston (Dr)

As a female reader, I couldn’t wait to dive into James Hawes’ first book, The Secret Lives of Men. Now, having read it, I can report that it is candid, insightful and provocative.

Although the E-motions and behaviours which James describe, in this gem of a book, come from his case files, there are also some well chosen nuggets which caused me to break out into fits of laughter. I would certainly say that this book is for anyone who wishes to get a new perspective on men

Painfully insightful

Painfully insightful

Very well written and researched. Fantastically thought provoking. Quite honestly I’m having to read it in small portions as it’s so painfully insightful! Even my Dad has quietly been looking at it with interest. But a copy for every man you know and every women who’s interested in how men work.     Ameet

This book is a really interesting read.

“This book is a really interesting read.  It’s full of useful information and makes you think about your use of language and emotional reach.  The layout helps you digest the key themes as well as providing thoughtful hints and tips to improve. I’m sure it will help lots of men and women and I’m going to buy another copy for my son!.”
